[dojo-contributors] what is the raison detre for dojo 2.0.

Colin said "We should not attempt to compete in the brochure site space. [...] Those areas are both well-served by jQuery".

Tom says dojo is an excellent replacement for JQuery now, let alone what a little tuning could do (and I have agreed with everything Tom has said).

Will somebody please either acknowledge that there is a huge disagreement here or explain the logic that indicates the statements above imply the same thing?!?!?!?

Dojo Core AS IT STANDS NOW is an excellent substitute for something like jQuery.  That will not change (and indeed it can't, for the simple reason that it's not possible to build something well like Dijit on top of it).  What I am saying is Dojo 2.0 needs to be more-so.
