[Dojo-interest] Detecting tree onClick event programmatically

Hi everyone,

I've just started using the Tree dijit and have run into a stumbling block.
I would like to create the tree programmatically and detect when users click
on nodes and leaves within the tree. However, I have not been able to
figure out how to detect the onClick event. I tried using dojo.connect to
connect the onclick event of the tree but that did not work.

I looked through the tree testing code and found out how I can do this in
the markup, but I would really like to do this programmatically. Any ideas
or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim
