[Dojo-interest] A working example/demo is needed for replacing the content of a div in Internet Explorer

Just like Peter Higgins suggested.  I guess the problem is asynchronous.
 
In my case, I am trying to make a computational demanding and time consuming methodology available.   Sometimes, querying takes place.   Sometime, the processor can take more than 15 or 20 minutes.
 
Peter Higgins' and your example/demo work in a situation, that does not involve so much time waiting.
 
Perhaps that is why it does not work well in my case.   I am just guessing.
 
Any suggestions on how to tackle a situation like this?
