[Dojo-interest] Firebug vs Venkman

Hi,

I used Venkman only for perhaps a year, before firebug struck. IMHO Venkman
is superior to pure js debugging. I have not manage to find out how to get a
proper error message out of firebug, for instance, whereas Venkman reports
directly what the reason for the error (as reported by the browser) was.

On the other hand, firebug is a killer developer toolbar killer, with a
couple of unique features, like showing all loading times for all resources,
et.c..

I still use both, but when doing just js, Venkman feels better also I think
because it has a 'classic' debugger layout. It's easy to find stuff and to
guess where stuff is, where firebug is more avant-garde; cute, but hard to
use.

Cheers,
PS
