After doing some digging I figure I need to override the render()
function. Can somebody clue me into how to extend widgets so you can
override the default functions.

Subject: [Dojo-interest] setting css per row w/ filteringTable

I'm not sure what's the best way to go about doing this. I want to be
able to set the style depending on a value found in the row. Similar to
http://www.nabble.com/Filtering-Table-Row-Color-tf2602871.html#a7261959.
I'm using store.setData() to populate the my table. I'm not sure where
to hook in to call html.setClass. Is there a better way than to loop
through my JSON object adding one row at time and setting the class
after each insert? This table gets refreshed every 5 seconds.
