Fwiw, I'm punting IE5.x most of the time.
IE7 is impressive work.

If you are interested in computing pixel values for IE6 then there is a
getPixelValue function in ie7-core.js:
If you want to compute pixel values for IE5.x then that is much more
complicated. You can take a look here:
but as I say it is complicated...
FYI - clientWidth/Height are always zero for elements without "layout"
